Transportation options in and around Doha are plentiful. From buses and metro to taxis and rent-a-cars, Qatar visitors can easily get to and from what is bound to be some fantastic matches. While everyone has their favourite team, here are the ones to watch out for.

Belgium

Belgium is up there with the top teams for this World Cup. This formidable international squad have some incredible talent including Courtois, Hazard, Lukaku, De Bruyne, Vertonghen and Alderweireld. The biggest threat to this team in this group is Croatia, who are likely to beat Canada and Morocco.

Spain

The Spanish team has had some dramatic changes since their glory days in the 2010s, but their play is as beautiful as it ever was. They have shown great form in the qualifying games for the World Cup and are expected to be a top contender in Qatar. They won’t have the easiest time getting through to the knockout stage as they will have to play Germany.

England

Despite having last won a World Cup in 1966, England is a tough contender in international football. With their squad of young and upcoming talent, they are definitely a team to watch out for.

Argentina

Argentina have won the World Cup twice – in 1978 and 1986. They have incredible form and, with strong players like Rodrigo de Paul, Angel Di Maria and of course Lionel Messi this is a solid team. They also haven’t lost an international match since 2019.

Brazil

Close on Argentina’s heels is Brazil. Always a favourite, this team have only lost one international match since 2020. With star players like Neymar, Vinicius Jr and Lucas Paqueta, the squad is looking to claim their sixth World Cup title.

Germany

The World Cup 2014 winners have had a big overhaul and are predicted to shine once again. With Manuel Neuer, Toni Kroos, Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Muller as their key players, this team is bound to make waves.

France

After winning the 2021 UEFA Nations League and as reigning World Cup champions, France returns as favourites for this tournament. The Les Blues team is made up of many stars, but will this be enough to retain their title?

The Netherlands

The Dutch have played the most World Cup finals but have never won the tournament. Many believe that this year will be their year as they have a talented squad of players. From Virgil van Dijk and Frenkie de Jong to Daley Blind, the team is expected to play tactically.

With so much to look out for, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is set to be an exhilarating tournament for spectators and players alike.
